Marketstrat is a marketing and management consultancy established in Sydney by Hugh Williams in 1986. The firm specialises in working with owners and managers who are seeking to expand their businesses, client bases and referral networks into new areas of growth and profitability.

We work with clients using a “Marketing and Business Plans” approach which we progressively build, review and help implement at each client premises anywhere throughout the Sydney Region and NSW. It is a partnership, in which Marketstrat injects new options, objectivity and structure into the decision making process and provides owners/managers with the opportunity to discuss and review their ideas, directions, issues and challenges. All Sales and Marketing plans are carefully documented with you and your sales and marketing team to ensure all decisions are prioritised to achieve the most cost effective solution for your business.

Our aim is to help each client to achieve maximum advantage from their skills, knowledge, experience and the contacts that have acquired in their respective professions. Our client base extends across a broad cross-section of professional services, trades, manufacturing and retail industry sectors.
While “Marketing Strategies” are paramount to determining the direction of any business, it is equally important that the strategies are practical, affordable and can be resourced by each business. Therefore, we use the “Business Plan” component of our work and useful management tools such as job descriptions, flowcharts and budgets to help each client plan and successfully implement the new directions they would like to take their businesses.

We also assist with the complex task of preparing Expressions of Interest and Tender Preparation. While most of our work is completed one-on-one with the owners and managers of each business, we also facilitate workshops, strategic planning sessions and Board meetings to gain the participation, contributions and consensus of all of the key people who are involved in the decision making, planning and implementation process.
