The environmentally friendly and handcrafted timber furniture is made in Blueprint Furniture’s Melbourne factory, which operates from a historic building built in the 1890s. This building was an old railway print works in North Melbourne. The handcrafted furniture making process is as follows; first after cleaning the wood, it passes through a metal detector and any existing nails are removed. Next, the wooden planks are milled into desired shapes and sizes. These are then passed on to the cabinetmakers who give shape to the final product as required by the customer. The final touches of sanding and polishing are given by the finishing team.

Blueprint Furniture has two Reclaimed Wood Furniture Showrooms in Melbourne, both of them in Bridge Road area of Richmond. The furniture factory is located at Laurens Street, North Melbourne is also open to visitors who want to see the handcrafted furniture being made live.
